Relax

The scan is not uncomfortable or painful and most often patients fall asleep because of the repetition of the knocking noise heard during the procedure.

However, it is important to lie still on your back for approximately 15-45 minutes. If you are uncomfortable with this, please let us know and we can discuss alternatives to help you.

We will provide you with earphones during the procedure so you can talk to the technologist. You have the option of watching TV or listening to your favorite CD or radio station. Please feel free to bring the CD with you or you may listen to one of ours.
