What to Expect

You may be asked to wear a gown depending on what part of the body is being scanned. You will lie on a comfortable table. You ultrasound technologist will explain the procedure. The ultrasound scan is not an uncomfortable study.

If you are having an ultrasound study that will check brachial pulses, you will be required to have a blood pressure cuffs placed on your ankles. Your technologist will explain each part of the study, and will be available to answer any questions concerning your study.
